Kim Jong is the dictator of North Korea and one can say he is the successor of Mao Tse Tung. Readers will recollect that Mao during his over two decades rule saw almost 20 million Chinese killed and numerous opponents assissinated or sent to "correction Camps" to die in filth and sorrow. Kim is no better but he is certainly not a mad man as made out by the western press and Japan. Trump is shouting that the military option is " locked and ready".All this looks a little late in the day and a look back will show that America under the then President Lyndon Johnson was a pussy cat when Mao showed his belligerence by testing H Bombs and A Bombs and ICBM's. At that time China began an artillery bombardment of the offshore islands Quemoy and Matsu ( belonging to Formosa) for weeks on end and the USA just sat and watched.
What about Kim? He is a ruthless man by but
he is not insane.He knows he has the USA by the tail as he has WMD. He knows that these weapons will save him and he cannot be killed and raped like Gaddafi and Saddam, who had nothing to strike back. He can unleash great destruction in case the USA attacks him.Kim wants respectability and status as a power; he seeks parity with world powers and I am afraid the world will have to learn to live with the nuclear weapons of Korea. The fact has America missed the bus when it allowed China to develop nuclear weapons and now its too late in the day to shout about North Korea. It's so unreal and one wonders why the USA never reacted to China and later Pakistan having nuclear weapons. In fact, the danger of Pak having nuclear weapons is more than Korea, as Pak is best by Islamic terror and what happens in case of a nuke falls into the hands of the Jihadis?
