Flamingo is a very graceful Bird. its part of a species that thrives in a waterlogged area. Ee are grateful to the government of Dubai for having set aside a vast water reserve for these birds. this is in the form of Flamingo water park. The water park is very well maintained. It is one of the attractions when you visit Dubai. This city is like the ancient city of gold El Dorado. Visiting the Flamingo Park is a very enjoyable experience. The park is located in salubrious atmosphere and natural surroundings. There is plenty of water as it is
connected to a small inlet BayThe birds live in their natural habitat and one can see them as they fly about in the water. The park can be reached from the main road. Cars are allowed up to a particular point and after that you have to walk. It is by itself a very good idea as air pollution is avoided. There is a small path that leads two a small cabin in the middle of the pond . The cabin has glass windows and one can sit on the stool and spend some time watching flamingos as they play around. There is also a telescope placed at one end of the cabin and one can sit on a stool by the telescope and watch the birds even a kilometre away. This
is an excellent method of watching the birdsOne point which must be born in mind is that no food and drink is allowed inside the cabin or the park. This is a good thing and any man made contamination is not allowed to enter the reserve. The organizers have however made arrangements for drinking water that is available in the cabin. The maintenance of the park is a feather in the cap of the Dubai government
I have driven to the park in my Mustang with my girlfriend and spent 2 exiciting hours at the Reserve to watch the birds . Watching the birds play in the water in their natural habitat is by itself a very elevating experience. The small cabin only has a security guard and you can write your comments in a book with with him. I will recommend a visit to the Flamingo Park as a great way to spend the day in Dubai
The city has so much to offer that one cannot catalogue all the items here. But whenever you do make a visit make it a point to visit the Flamingo Park. In a way it's a great way to honor the Birds. Entry is free
