Deepika is a fine actress but tens of actresses earlier to her never made it to Hollywood. this includes legends like Nargis, Madhubala, Nimmi et all. They never got a break in Hollywood which all said and done is the world's number one as far as the world of celluloid is concerned. Credit to Deepika who stormed into this citadel. She is the star of "xXx: The return of Xander Cage" along with the no 2 Global star Vin Diesel.

do not recollect any Indian actress of any standing starring in a Holywood film before this.Xander Cage is an action film and the star is 48-year-old Vin Diesel. He is a bald muscular and Macho star and at 48 remains an embodiment of fitness. He had earlier also starred in the film in 2002 and this film is a sequel to that. That film grossed $270 million dollars at that time despite the film not getting rave reviews.
The film is now released and as per reports has garnered $51 million at the box office in the first week. Even in India where it was first released the movie grossed more than Indian releases.In the same week.Vin Diesel must justifiably feel proud of his achievement as he is a global star and all credit to Deepika that she auditioned for the role and was selected.
The story line is not much, but then in any
Vin Diesel's film story line does not matter. It is action and action and daredevil stunts and this Vin does with gusto. You have 110 minutes of nonstop action. Vin plays an agent Cage, who comes out of retirement to thwart the designs of the bad men to destroy the world with a secret weapon called "Pandora's Box". It's heady stuff and one can be on the edge of the seat for the duration of the movie. The " Fast and Furious" star lives up to his macho image considering he is closer to 50.The romantic angle is provided by Deepika. With her dusky complexion, she is a welcome change from the pale-faced heroines that were there earlier. She also has excellent chemistry with Vin and the promo trailer showed Vin carrying Deepika in his arms all the way to the sets. No wonder she will star in the next sequel as well. One only wonders that Deepika's beau in India Ranvir Singh is not consumed by jealousy as the rapport between Vin and Deepika.
In the meantime, the film is global hit and as yet the film is not released in China and Korea. In another few weeks, we will know how big a hit this movie is.
