Recipe for Good Health and Long Life
Everybody wants to live long, obviously with good health. this is a desire of most human beings. However, there is a rider and that concerns health. Nobody would want a long life with poor health. Thus, health and long life go together. Ancient Indian saints and Rishis are reported to have had long life spans and some of them as per mythology lived to the age of 200 or even more. One may wonder whether this is possible. The fact is that living a span of 120 years is perhaps possible, though a fewwho follow great austerities may live to 200.
To live long and healthy is difficult and yet easy. It requires willpower and most of us lack that will power. When I was at the Ashram of Swami Shraddanand, who himself was over 100, there were many recipes taught by him to reach this magical age. He was, clear that a man must follow this regime strictly and there is to be no deviation.
The great astrologer Bhrigue estimated the average life span of a human being as 120 years and yet the majority fall before they reach that age. However, one can reach this age if a regular regime is followed every day. As per swami, the recipe of good health and longevity is simple and consistsof the following steps
- Do Yoga exercises every day with stress on the Sir Asana.
- Regular sex at least 3 times a week with a girl younger than you. This is clarified as below 25. Younger the better. This is supposed to be a great rejuvenator.
- No consuming any meats and eschew all drinks as well as wine. Eat a pure vegetarian diet with stress on nuts and fruits. Drink milk every day and that too only cow or goat milk.
-Eat only semi-cooked or boiled vegetables.
-Meditate every day for at least 2-3 hours
In case the above is followed rigorously without deviation even for one day, the results will be forthcoming. Two aspects on which the swami laid great stress was meditation and prayer and sex with younger girls. In this, he mixed and amalgamated the Tantric concept with Hindu ancient philosophy. I think Taoism also recommends this .In case, a man follows what the Swami said, then like the ancients one can easily live beyond 120 years. One must bear in mind that there can be no deviation from this regimen and it must be followed completely every day.
